  Key Responsibilities:
  
  • Coordinate dental surgeries between clinics, ensuring seamless care integration.
  • Manage surgery schedules for hospital and in-office procedures, including anesthesia and sedation.
  • Align pre-op consultations and logistics with providers, patients, and clinics.
  • Oversee surgery bookings, maintaining communication with healthcare facilities.
  • Provide pre-surgery instructions and orders to patients.
  • Coordinate pre-op medical appointments for surgery clearance.
  • Partner with surgical assistants to organize equipment and supplies.
  • Secure surgery authorizations and pre-certifications from insurance providers.
  • Organize post-op follow-up appointments for continuity of care.
  • Compile and organize surgical documentation and billing data.
  • Manage dental surgeons' schedules, considering surgery times and urgent needs.
  • Support the collaborative dental care initiative, including tracking residents' procedure requirements.
    Qualifications:
    
    • High School Diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED). Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Health Services Administration, Public Health, or Medical Assisting is preferred
    • Two years' experience working in a medical or dental clinic is required. One year's experience scheduling surgery in a hospital setting and dental care coordination is preferred
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred at a level 9
    • Knowledge of medical and dental terminology is essential
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Strong customer relations skills
    • Ability to exercise independent judgement and discretion
    • Effective verbal, written and listening communication skills
    • Ability to prioritize work and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously, with frequent interruptions
