Our client, a leading engineering and construction firm, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer NS&E to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer NS&E, you will be part of the engineering department supporting the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant project. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong background in mechanical design, and the ability to collaborate effectively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer NS&E

Location: Richland, WA

Pay Range: $32.50 per hour

What's the Job?

• 
  
• Designing fluid and gas systems in the Waste Treatment Plant process facilities.
  
• Preparing technical reports, studies, and design documentation, including calculations using engineering software.
  
• Interfacing and coordinating with other engineering disciplines and clients to develop comprehensive designs.
  
• Collecting process, safety, and other requirements for fluid process systems and specifying equipment.
  
• Developing piping and instrument diagrams, formal calculations, and equipment datasheets for detailed design.
  
  
  What's Needed?
  
  
  • 
    
  • BS degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university or college with at least 3 years of related experience.
    
  • Experience in Piping and Instrument Diagram (P&ID) development and fluid system design.
    
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check.
    
  • Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site.
    
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
